Heartache !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The only way to describe the race yesterday when the top-rated GODS TOKEN (picked at 55 in the morning) was beaten in a photo in the final race at Aintree. In fairness of course, Special Envoy had the race sewn up before falling at the last, but the race was then still to be won and Gods Token came from another parish on the run-in to be narrowly denied. I watched the whole race again this morning (glutton for punishment) on the Racing Post web site and still can't believe it didn't get there. 50 yards out it looked nailed on to get home. We gained some small recompense by picking up the place return (trading around 7.5 on the place market) but it was the win return that would have mopped so much of the recent damage.
Oh well - time to get over it - and move on. No handicap hurdle today at Aintree so the HorseGraph is in the first race at Southwell at 2.20 - a motley bunch here but the winner still needs to be found. Incidentally the featured race tomorrow will be - The Grand National !!! I've applied for planning permission to extend the graph.
The HorseGraph pretty much agrees with the Betdaq odds in the Southwell opener in the case of the three top-rated horses Feelin Irie, Windy Prospect and Scottish River who are all trading towards the front of the market but interestingly the complete outsider Moon Forest also gets a look in. He is trading at around the 60 level.
Recommended Bets
2 point win FEELING IRIE
2 point win SCOTTISH RIVER
2 point win WINDY PROSPECT
1 point each way MOON FOREST
