Well we didn't get a return on Monday - but can take a little comfort, if not profit, from the fact that the featured horses continue to run well.
The top-rated Makandy was second at 6/1, it turned out to be the gamble of the race having traded at 12.5 in the morning on Betdaq. We also had one heck of a run from Bill Brown who was trading at 50 in the morning and on the turn for home nothing was travelling sweeter but in the end he could only finish fourth at an SP of 28/1.
Today's HorseGraph is the 4.10 at Warwick where we have a horse top-rated that has failed to complete in her last two races, and from a trainer that hasn't saddled a winner from his 18 runners in the past fortnight !! However, drilling down a little deeper it's not so negative. The horse in question is Little Venus who has shown a lot of ability over hurdles before tipping up on her chasing debut - she was then out of sorts when pulling up next time. However, she has now been given a break - and Henry Daly's horses are actually running well - without hitting the back of the net. She definitely has the class to win this contest and is tempting at around the current 7.5 on Betdaq.
Ceoperk has a slightly more obvious chance after her Warwick win and is included in the staking plan along with the lightly raced Aristi and Xila Fontenailles.

Hi Tom
Welcome onboard the good ship HG. Not whether you saw the race but absolutely nervewracking finish. Xila Fontenailles did it's very best to lose the race by drifting and only hung on by a short head.
It was well backed - and the top-rated Little Venus ran poorly after drifting significantly very late on.
Cheers
David

i was "watching" and the initial market reaction seemed to be that XF had lost but the market came back after a suspension - and much to my relief we had a winner! i noted the little venus drift (out to 12's) before the off and was concerned.
