Close but no cigar yesterday with the three selections finishing second, third and fourth :(
Today's HorseGraph is in the 2.20 at Southwell which has taken on a different perspective with the news that forecast favourite Sohraab has been withdrawn.
Fairnilee from Sir Mark Prescott's in-form yard is hot favourite at a current 2.28 on Betdaq but is one that we are taking on on the strength of the ratings. It's always a stable I take on with a great deal of nervousness - but the bare form of her first two races leaves her with something to find and fortune favours the brave (apparently).
So, we are laying the favourite but backing the top three rated horses in the hope of finding a good price winner. The top-rated horse, Cherri Fosfate, is currently a 9.8 chance on Betdaq from another in-form stable - that of Declan Carroll.
