A great day on Saturday when I managed to lock in a profit of 19.1 points on Betdaq thanks to the success of Overstrand - which was top-rated by the HorseGraph and came home first at (an SP) of 9-1. An added bonus, as it turned out, was Ma Yahab being a non runner saving us 1/2 point. That was my biggest daily profit since the HorseGraph's launched and came at the end of a great week for the service apart from the set-back on Friday.
It was interesting to read Ray Atkin's account of his trading yesterday over at The Betdaq Trader - Ray had a great day showing it's possible to trade in plenty of races and he even through in some football for good measure. He ended the day just shy of the £1,000 mark - well done !
I had to do a double take at the racing on Sunday - WHAT NO ALL-WEATHER !!! However, after the success in a handicap hurdle yesterday - that's not going to put me off.
The first thing to say about today's HorseGraph (4.30 Fontwell) is it totally contradicts the betting in the race - in fact more so than any other race I've seen - which could of course mean I've got it spectacularly wrong ! The two clear favourites Helen Wood and South O'The Border are both poorly rated so we're in an unusual position of being able to lay them both (with confidence) with low risk on the down side (they can't both win !). For even further reduced risk I considered place laying the pair but will stick to the win market. As I write the field has been reduced to nine by the withdrawal of Dusty Dane.
Nick's Joy is currently trading as third favourite on Betdaq at 8.5 having been matched early at a high of 15 - and no I didn't get those odds :( He showed a hint of returning to some kind of form at Chepstow last time and although he's an 11 year-old could run a decent race.
Dance With Wolves and the other 11-year-old in the race Isam Top can safely be added without causing too much damage - currently trading at odds of 20 and 40 respectively.
Hope it all adds up to give us a good run for our money - it's a case of staying loyal to the graph - no matter what the betting says !!

Well done. I have been reading Ray's blog on a regular basis and find it fascinating. I followed the link for your blog. Too cautious to take advantage yesterday but well done on an excellent analysis. Will follow this thread with great interest - thanks
