A very pleasing day on Friday when the top-rated horse beat the second-rated horse in the 5.20 at Wolverhampton. I ended with a profit of 7.1 points on the recommended bets - thankfully Sarwin was trading at much higher odds on Betdaq than the 7/2 SP with plenty of 5.8 available close to the off.
We are heading to Lingfield on a busy Saturday for the Winter Derby Trial Stakes at 3.40. The HorseGraph gives a clear nod to Party Boss who is bidding to complete a hat-trick for Clive Brittain and is currently trading at around 6.8.
He was given a great front running ride by Seb Sanders when winning a conditions race here over a mile last time out and all the indicationns are that he should see out today's trip - however he may not get things his own way up front today.
Both Blue Bajan and Grand Passion are class horses at this level and we will try and stake in such a way that we make a profit if any of the trio win. Grand Passion has already won this race twice before whilst Blue Bajan has proved a great campaigner on both surfaces - finishing second to Formal Decree in the Cambridgeshire before going to on to run a short head second to Nayyir over today's course and distance in the Churchill Stakes.
