The weather stopped us (or possible, given recent results, saved us) on Friday when snowbound Wolverhampton was called off after the third race. No problems at Wolverhampton tonight but the card at Warwick has been abandoned today. Thankfully, the star-studded card at Newbury goes ahead with one of the best days racing I've seen in a long while.
However, for the HorseGraph we go to Lingfield for the 3.05 race - a juicy 12 runner handicap to get stuck into.
I'll be backing the three clear top-rated in this race. Woodnook, Briannsta and Lucayos. I was slightly disappointed to see Woodnook trading as favourite on Betdaq at around the 3.65 level. She runs this course really well but has hasn't been seen for the best part of two months. She was last seen contesting a class two handicap at Kempton - this is much more her winning grade and we can be sure of a good run.
Briannsta, at around 8.5 is very tempting as well. He has ran well recently, notching up a double over the six furlongs at Wolverhampton before Christmas and has a sound chance here.
Lucayos was a course and distance winner last time out and is the insurance part of today's bets - so we'll aim to cover stakes on this one to make a profit on the other two.
