No winners yesterday but we did land the place lay on the favourite Perfect Practice, who was unplaced in the 4.30 at Lingfield, to land a modest, but welcome profit of 1 point on the day.
Wetherby is off and given that the card featured four races with only four runners is almost a sense of relief. Today's HorseGraph is the 5.05 at Southwell and the early betting on Betdaq suggests Jabbara will go off favourite. She ran a good race at Lingfield last time when runner-up to Sweet Pickle but the form line that really catches the eye is her last visit to this course in November when she romped home by an eased down six lengths over today's distance. The application of the first time blinkers seemed to work a treat that day and they are back on today. We definitely want to keep on the right side of this one.
Ask No More is the top-rated - trading at an early 14. She is only modest but takes a drop back in distance to six furlongs which could prove the key to success.
We're also going to support Astorygoeswithit and Shava at 6 and 7.2. Both ran well on their last outings and have obvious chances.
Recommended Bets
2 point win Jabbara
1 1/2 point win Ask No More
1 1/2 point win Astorygoeswithit
1 point win Shava

hi - i'm a newbie to this... what do you mean by "points"?

Roy
Thanks for your message. The points simply give a gauge to the relative staking on each horse. I recommend a starting bank of 100 points and a point can be for as much as you feel comfortable with.
For example if you decide to follow the selections for £10 a point a 1.5 point bet would be £15.
Hope this helps.
Kind Regards
David
