Unfortunately a great week ended with a loss of 4.5 points on Sunday when Helen Wood proved just too good in the 4.30 at Fontwell. The top-rated choice Nick's Choice ran well enough in third and was well supported, going off at 6-1 having been matched at 15 earlier in the day on Betdaq.
Well after our little dabble over the sticks we are back on the all-weather for today's HorseGraph which comes in the 2.20 at Lingfield - the seller.
It's not a race that's attracted a great deal of interest so far today - but I'm hopeful of getting reasonable prices about the two joint-top-rated horses Mine The Balance and Ruffie.
The case for Mine The Balance is built around the drop in class. Despite uninspiring form figures - he hasn't actually been running too badly of late - a case in point was last time out at Lingfield when not beaten far when eighth to Louphole. A much bigger question mark over him would be the ability to see out the trip.
Ruffie is more certain to see out the trip and is another taking a drop in class to the basement level.
Both Nikki Bea and hat-trick seeking Louisiade are well up there on the graph and I'll add these to today's staking plan.
Recommended Bets
